  • Understanding banning procedures, escalation from warnings to legal action and how to manage vexatious complaint behaviour

Presented By

Fiona Manderson
Principal, Alancaws Legal Keppera, Qld

Fiona Manderson has been a practicing solicitor for in excess of 20 years working in traditional law firms and Legal Aid Queensland before a nearly 6 year stint as Head of Compliance, Risk & Legal at Hillcrest Christian College. Described by those who know her well, Fiona’s role was the “lost luggage office” of the legal world within schools, being the place that tough things land when they don’t have a home, or no one else wants them! She has now opened her own business – Aloncaws Legal – where she focuses on workplace investigations and mediation.

Known as a trusted adviser to faith based schools, Fiona has undertaken many investigations for different schools including matters involving Child Safeguarding, fraud, workplace bullying, workplace sexual harassment, WHS reportable incidents and general Code of Conduct allegations. A registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner for many years, and AMDRAS accredited mediator, Fiona seeks to facilitate lasting and peaceful outcomes to what can be quite tense situations.
